Indian Rocks Beach
On the West side of Gulf Blvd are the sandy beaches and a conglomeration of beach cottages, homes, high rise condominiums, and a few businesses. The Eastern side of Indian Rocks Beach features canals or frontage on the Intracoastal Waterway. Many waterfront condo's, townhouses, and single family homes East of Gulf Blvd. most with boat docking facilities. Indian Rocks Beach housing also includes many inland homes and complexes. Residents include young families, empty nesters, northern snowbirds, and active retirees.
Today, Indian Rocks Beach is a thriving community that has maintained most of its original character, and supports a lively mixture of recreational activities. From our nature preserve, to our parks, to our sandy shores, you'll find a smile on every face, and a warm Florida welcome with everyone you meet. Indian Rocks Beach is very proud of its Historical Museum which is open Wednesday through Saturday. There is, of course, our beautiful beach, plenty of shopping and delicious dining. Fishing charters and boat rentals are available for the fishermen in your group, and a miniature golf course to keep the children entertained. Nearby is the Florida Botanical Garden which houses Florida's finest formal gardens, scenic landscape and natural habitat. More than 25 garden and osprey areas delight nature enthusiasts. Take a few moments to marvel at the beauty and wildlife, including alligators, that call the Gardens home. The Heritage Village Museum which is a 21 living History Museum is located adjacent to the Florida Botanical Garden.
